55 Profs - 55 professions - X/Mo or Mo/x (see 55 monks in forum)

Elites are the only skills that can be obtained from a boss (you can't buy them, you can only capture them, and you can only have 1 at a time). They are classified as a power skill (although many of us believe they aren't all that powerful )

Bosses can be fought anywhere at anytime (pre-seering of Ascolon (Prophecies), Island of Factions, etc.) The good ones are found in the Desert of Tyria (Prophecies) and the Mainland of Factions (scattered throughout the streets and missions) - you should be around level 17 or higher

In PvE, no, it isn't necessary, but it helps a great deal to get your best armor before you finish the game. Get Drok armor in Tyria when you get to Droks. Otherwise, you'll die quickly.

Define decent. Green weapons in Tyria are found in Garneth's Footprint (by Sorrow's Furnace).

Hope this helps.

To be honest, I don't know anything about "game of the year" items. If you are talking about low leveled items (where you are at level 9 or 10) then yes, until you get something better. If it's a high level item (requires level 12 or higher), then no. If you do not have the required level for that item, I would not use it. Its abilities are not granted to you until you reach the required level.

An example would be Healing Anhk +12 Energy (required Healing Prayers level 12). If you only have level 11 in Healing Prayers, it does nothing for you.

Hope this helps, if not, I'm sorry. As I said, I know nothing about "game of the year" items.
